Ever since Sodl was able to sit on a piano stool, she has been writing music. Between blaring electric guitar and Russian button accordion, the Austrian artist creates a tension made of anger and warmth, seasoned with a touch of Fiona Apple, Mitski and Alice Phoebe Lou. In 2020 she was discovered by radio station FM4 and has been twirling from concert to concert ever since. Her self-produced debut album Sheepman allows for contrasts, and celebrates them in a tightrope walk between fairytale escapism and direct confrontation.
