Affiliated with the groups [wimpLink artistId="3584821"]Opgezwolle[/wimpLink] and [wimpLink artistId="4631538"]FakkelBrigade[/wimpLink], [wimpLink artistId="4183064"]Sticks[/wimpLink], also known as [wimpLink artistId="4183064"]Sticky Steez[/wimpLink], is a Dutch rapper who made his solo album debut in 2004 and rose to Top Ten success soon afterward. Born [wimpLink artistId="4183064"]Junte Uiterwijk[/wimpLink] and hailing from Zwolle, The Netherlands, he initially made a name for himself as a member of the trio [wimpLink artistId="3584821"]Opgezwolle[/wimpLink], also comprised of rapper Phreako Rico and DJ/producer Delic (aka Dippy Delic). In association with the venerable Dutch rap label Top Notch, [wimpLink artistId="3584821"]Opgezwolle[/wimpLink] made their full-length album debut with Spuugdingen op de Mic (2001), followed by [wimpLink albumId="15757227"]Vloeistof[/wimpLink] (2003) and [wimpLink albumId="15752116"]Eigen Wereld[/wimpLink] (2006), the latter a Top Five hit on the Dutch albums chart. Meanwhile, [wimpLink artistId="4183064"]Sticks[/wimpLink] also participated on the album [wimpLink artistId="3582887"]Opgeduveld[/wimpLink] (2002), a self-titled supergroup effort comprised of [wimpLink artistId="3584821"]Opgezwolle[/wimpLink] plus rappers [wimpLink artistId="6164225"]Duvel[/wimpLink], Supahdupah, and Rein de Vos. As a solo artist, [wimpLink artistId="4183064"]Sticks[/wimpLink] made his full-length album debut with [wimpLink albumId="15752402"]Microphone Colossus[/wimpLink] (2004), a collaboration with producer [wimpLink artistId="17426892"]Kubus[/wimpLink]. His second album, [wimpLink albumId="15758673"]Fakkelteit[/wimpLink] (2007), a collaboration with Delic, was released in the wake of [wimpLink artistId="3584821"]Opgezwolle[/wimpLink]'s smash hit success with [wimpLink albumId="15752116"]Eigen Wereld[/wimpLink] and proved similarly successful, reaching the Top Ten of the Dutch albums chart. With the splintering of [wimpLink artistId="3584821"]Opgezwolle[/wimpLink] in 2007, [wimpLink artistId="4183064"]Sticks[/wimpLink] proceeded to form another group, [wimpLink artistId="4631538"]FakkelBrigade[/wimpLink], comprised of himself plus rappers Phreako Rico, Typhoon, James, and producer [wimpLink artistId="4765829"]A.R.T.[/wimpLink] [wimpLink artistId="4631538"]FakkelBrigade[/wimpLink]'s debut album, Colucci Era (2009), was another Top Ten success for [wimpLink artistId="4183064"]Sticks[/wimpLink], as was his third solo album, [wimpLink albumId="15751583"]Alledaagse Waanzin[/wimpLink] (2010), this one a collaboration with [wimpLink artistId="4765829"]A.R.T.[/wimpLink] ~ Jason Birchmeier
