Rooted in the singer-songwriter tradition, Sunflower is a new trio that blends introspective storytelling with the spirit of improvisation. Their original compositions draw inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Americana, and folk, creating a warm and intimate sound that flows between structured songcraft and spontaneous musical dialogue. With new textures and poetic depth, the trio offers a fresh and soulful take on contemporary acoustic music. Sunflower consists of Dutch drummer and bandleader Joost Lijbaart, American songwriter and improviser River Adomeit, and English/New Zealand indie-folk musician Amelie Spinks.
