The Academic consists of four Irish schoolmates: Craig, Dean and brothers Matt and Stephen, aiming to conquer the world with their excellent indie rock. In 2013, they started playing together in the small Irish town of Mullingar, and their talent was quickly recognised. Grand choruses, propelling drums, lively guitar riffs, catchy hooks and cheerful lyrics: The Academic is ready for the big stage, as evidenced by their single 'Different'. Their debut album 'Northern Boy' will be released very soon.
