Once a pioneer of DIY music in Portugal, now one of the most experienced bands on the Iberian Peninsula. The Gift is also one of the most forward-thinking and alternative pop bands, showcasing elegant, moving arrangements and Sónia Tavares' dark, powerful voice. Their influences include The Flaming Lips, Beck and Brian Eno, who produced their newest album. The band has been around for over 22 years, toured the USA, Canada, Australia and Asia and has a particulary large fan base in Spain and Brazil.
