Perhaps the neighbors in the British town of Newquay, Cornwall once hoped that brothers Alex and Peter Chisholm would have spend more time to that other hobby of theirs: surfing. However, the brothers got along great in music as well and that led to the band The Sea. This two-piece band is combining the raw blues sounds of The Whites Stripes and The Kills with the anthemic pop of Coldplay and Supergrass. The Sea were born in 2007 and released debut album Get It Back in 2009.  Since then they performed 250 gigs in less than two years. In October 2010 they played 20 gigs in seven countries in 22 days all of which sold out and finishing with a triumphant UK homecoming gig in London. In the same year they recorded second album . Sadly 2011 was overshadowed by a freak surfing accident in the summer when Alex broke his neck and a heavy shadow of doubt was cast over him ever walking again – let alone playing the drums. After a miracle recovery he is playing again. And The Sea is doing gig after gig with Rooftops scheduled for release in 2012.
