The paths of these well-known Dutch musicians have crossed many times over the past few years, and every time something was left hanging in the air. But it didn’t materialise in a collaboration between like minded spirits until (keyboardist/bandleader) Sven Hammond approached (rapper/singer) Typhoon. Because of the current times they both feel the urgent need to just have fun together and play out of the love of music. Their shared admiration for jazz musician Thelonious Monk led to a remake of his classic Locomotive. In a special appearance at this year’s edition of Noorderslag they will share the stage, in brotherhood.
