When 'Airy Met Fairy (or WAMF) is more of a project than a band with many different musicians and video makers helping to create the minimalist but melancholic world of When 'Airy Met Fairy. At the core, there is the fixed trio consisting of front woman and singer-songwriter Thorunn Egilsdottir (vocals, piano, mini instruments), Mike Koster (moog&bass) and Thomas Copier (drummer). Film-makers Runa Egilsdottir and Raphael Kindig give the project a unique aspect by creating WAMF's music clips. WAMF sounds like Kate Bush mixed with Moloko.
