Femke Blok is currently chair of Music Tech Netherlands. While leading Effenaar Lab, an innovation hub where artists can experiment with advanced technologies, and working with Thunderboom Records on developing open-source versions of these technologies, the need for a shared structure for innovation across the music industry became clear. This insight led to the founding of the Music Tech Netherlands network, together with a group of frontrunners, driven by the belief that the sector should actively shape technological developments.

With over a decade of experience in strategy and business development for leading organisations such as Amsterdam Dance Event, Femke focuses on creating the conditions for shared learning and experimentation in order to drive meaningful and sustainable innovation.
