Music as first aid for misfortune. Calidus was born out of a shared love of miserable pop rock and a nostalgic longing for its purest form from the 90s and 00s. Britpop influences are evident in the band's work, but live they have a bravado that reminds you more of The Killers. During Grunnsonic, the band will tip the veil and take the listener into the story that will unfold further throughout the rest of 2024. As Bowie said, "Always remember that the reason you initially started working was that there was something inside yourself that you felt if you could manifest that in some way, you would understand more about yourself and how you coexist with the rest of society.
