Michelle Hindriks is the main songwriter, front woman and bassist of indie rock trio CIEL, which formed in Brighton on the South Coast of England. Michelle also self-manages the project, and her work includes budgeting, planning tours and writing funding applications. CIEL makes fuzzy indie rock, with elements of goth and shoegaze and a strong focus on Michelle’s melodies. 2022 saw the band achieve strong radio success with "Baby Don't You Know" hitting A-list on BBC 6 Music in the UK, plus playlist support on 3FM, NPO Radio 2, KINK FM and Radio Veronica in the Netherlands. Their debut UK headline tour in Autumn 2022 sold out in all major cities, and 2023 sees the band release 2 new EP's of material whilst touring internationally.
