Tune in to something fresh at ESNS25: MEET@AIR is our brand-new free-to-access music showcase celebrating the incredible talent brewing in the North of the Netherlands.

Local artists and businesses will take over Groningen's iconic Grote Markt on Thursday and Friday, January 16-17, during ESNS. This two-day musical extravaganza allows them to showcase their talent to an international audience.

At ESNS25 there will once again be plenty to see and experience in the city. In addition to music and gigs, there will also be a wide range of visual arts under the name ESNS Art.

Together with Kunstpunt Groningen, we will present a temporary artwork by Koos Buist at de Grote Markt in Groningen. Vera Artdivision and Kunstlievend Genootschap Pictura will showcase the European Poster Explosion (EPEX), while Talent van Hier and De Nieuwe Editie will feature several talented Groningers in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, literature, and pop culture. Additionally, Forum Groningen is offering ESNS ticket holders a discount on their "The World of Music Video" exhibition.

In the Oude Ebbingestraat, Platosonic traditionally takes place at the record shop Plato for the official daytime in-store festival featuring bands and artists who also play at ESNS. Platosonic is free to enter from Thursday, January 16, to Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Grunnsonic is a free showcase festival of Groningen-based musical talent during ESNS. Grunnsonic, a joint initiative between ESNS and POPgroningen, offers Groningen-based talent the chance to present themselves during the gigantic happening that is ESNS. Being a free event, Grunnsonic gives music lovers who don't have an ESNS ticket or want to enjoy even more music the opportunity to significantly upgrade their week. ESNS and POPgroningen allow local acts to present themselves to the general public and the music professionals present at ESNS. This year, Grunnsonic takes place from January 15th until January 17th at Het Pakhuis, Warhol, Het Concerthuis, KLUP DE DAG and Grote Markt.

Highlights include the Official Opening with Daniela Pes (it), Focus on Italy Reception with Kyoto and Post Nebbia, Spanish Wave Showcase & Fiesta with St. Pedro and Maria Escarmiento, Focus on Wales Reception with CVC and The Family Battenberg.

inJazz is present at ESNS25 in OOST, proudly presenting WAAN and Ping-En Hung.

Location of the gigs is club OOST in Oosterstraat, between Vera and eggball specialist Snack Hoek. The gigs will take place between 20:30 and 23:00 and are open to anyone with a Eurosonic festival ticket or an ESNS Delegate Pass.
