Describing herself as a Swedish vampire, born at IKEA, Dottie Andersson is in fact a songwriter from Småland who detests picture-perfect, smooth pop. Dottie grew up in a musical family, studied drums and was part of a band with her three younger sisters. She found her own sound, influenced by acts like Veronica Maggio, Bon Iver, Caroline Polachek and Phoebe Bridgers, and displays real attitude and a (very Swedish) sense for pop melodies, among electronic and indie elements. Debut EP ‘Drinking Gasoline’ came out in September.
