The Challenges of Extreme Weather Onsite

Whether the cause is naturally cyclical or exacerbated by climate change, the reality is that bad weather, both hot and cold, continues to damage the event industry. For instance, in this last year alone MetalDays in Slovenia, Wacken in Germany, Balaton Sound in Hungary, Blue Dot in UK, the Taylor Swift concerts in Brazil, etc., were all affected.

We try to alleviate the problem operationally, what more can we do? Close cooperation and communication between promoter, production, licensing, legal and suppliers etc. is crucial. Answers and suggestions from those on the panel with knowledge of the potential problems and the delegates, will give us something to have in mind for the close and far future.
