Alex Stevens served as the Artistic Director of the Dour Festival for 18 years. He now leads Olakala Agency, a European festival booking agency through which he curates the Sakifo Festival and the Francofolies de La Réunion (on the island of Réunion), Marsatac in Marseille, and Plissken in Athens. To support his work, Alex created Bookr.fm, an online collaborative tool for festival booking, used by festivals in Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Greece. The platform offers solutions designed to streamline artistic curation, internal communication, and the management of budgets and contracts. Powered by a database of over 850,000 artists, Bookr.fm assists teams in making informed decisions while preserving the human and emotional essence at the core of booking. With a vision that blends network expertise, human insight, and technological innovation, Alex has developed an effective tool that helps festivals craft unique and inspired lineups while managing the overwhelming influx of artistic proposals.
