Gareth Deakin is a serial meddler in start-ups and music tech. His passion is helping companies at the nexus of music and technology achieve incredible results and has mentored and advised a diverse range of companies for more than a decade. His speciality is advising early-stage start-ups from launch to series A, B2B marketing, strategy and emerging technologies. He has over two decades of experience in independent and major labels, as a start-up operator, consultant and advisor to companies at all stages. He has a unique view of what it takes to make it in music and tech. Alongside running Sonorous Consulting, a boutique strategy and business development consultancy, Gareth has been a Mentor for numerous start-up programs including Abbey Road Studio's Red, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), and Marathon Music Groups Labs program. Deeply committed to the health of the music tech ecosystem he’s also a founding member of Music Technology UK, a member of Stockholm Music City and co-chairs the Association For Electronic Music’s Emerging Technology working group.
