Martijn Mulder is a researcher in the fields of live music, cultural and creative industries and leisure. In 2023 he published the book I was There! about the value of pop venues and festivals in the Dutch ecosystem of live music, as part of the POPLIVE project. He also published the Dutch Live Music Monitor and reports on the Dutch festival sector. Currently, he works as a researcher for the Innovatielabs project and is part of the international consortium on Live Music Mapping. Martijn is also a senior lecturer at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, works as an advisor for the cultural sector and is a board member of pop venue Mezz in Breda.
