Matt Hanner is a values-driven music business consultant focused on creating sustainable opportunities for artists and industry professionals. He launched his freelance practice, MakeDamnSure, at the end of 2025. Previously, Matt founded Runway Artists, a London-based independent live music agency launched in March 2020 after nearly a decade at leading agencies including Coda (now Wasserman) and ATC Live (now ROAM). Runway was built to champion a diverse, inclusive and creatively led workplace where both artists and staff could thrive. Over five years, Runway grew to represent more than 150 artists across seven booking agents. Matt personally represented an eclectic roster including Melin Melyn, Personal Trainer, Pom Poko, Cosmo Pyke, Algiers and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. Alongside his agency work, Matt founded the Agents × Managers Conference, creating a platform for emerging professionals to share knowledge, collaborate and challenge industry norms. Known for his community-first approach, Matt combines strategic insight with cultural leadership. Outside of work, he is a married father of two, active in his local church, and a passionate football supporter (On The Ball City!)
