In his two decades in the music industry, Nigel Harding has had his own dream job many times over. As VP of Artist Relations worldwide at Deezer, Nigel’s pure passion for music and the people who make it make him an inspiring leader, empowering his team of upcoming, international young tastemakers to build meaningful relationships with artists and labels, and fostering an environment in which creators, facilitators and listeners can all thrive. As Head of Music at XFM in the early 2000s, he took the renowned indie radio station to new heights of critical and commercial success, before joining the BBC’s flagship music channel, Radio 1, as Music Editor in 2006. Over the following decade, a halcyon era in British music, he helped shape the musical tastes of an entire nation. Outside programming, Nigel’s vast experience includes running his own record label and artist management and promotion - not to mention his incredible network of friends and peers in the global music industry.
